This collection is a homage to Elsa Schiaparelli (1890-1973). The prints come from drawings made with felt and pencil, as well as creating an idiosyncratic style in the garment’s framework. The grain of the paper and the piles of color are intentionally left digitally unedited in order to keep the raw quality of the drawings. The drawings create an optical illusion by creating a body structure that slightly deconstructs the silhouette. The soft satin cotton that is blended with linen and silk crepe accentuate the pencil effect of the prints through their powdered texture. The collection is offered in both positive and negative forms around a series of soft colors. All the framing work is done by hand crotchet throughout the fringes and simple stitches. The framing sometimes shapes the piece and sometimes creates a breach.
